One Bad Apple

We went apple picking last weekend.  The weather was slightly cool, the sun was at an angle that you just knew it was Autumn and perfect for the task at hand.
We started early enough in the morning that the sun had not yet dried up all the dew.

 The orchard we went to is large so we had to take a wagon ride to the location where the apples were ready to pick.

 

Trees were bursting with apples, 

of course we had to sample to make sure the apples were perfect.

but you had to pick carefully.  Many of the apples already had been chosen by unwanted visitors.
If you look close enough you can see the little worm working his way in.
Can you imagine not paying attention to the little hole in your apple and taking a great big BITE.  YUM
