A Beautiful Set of Cards

I received a beautiful set of cards in the mail today from John and David of Dajon Designs.  The cards came from England.  It is so fun to see a package from the
"Royal Mail".  I feel like a princess when I see that :)

I won the cards in the One World One Heart giveaway.  I am so thrilled with them.
My photography skills do not do them justice.  They are hand made and stunning.
A huge thank you to John and David.

Another Gift Received

My mailbox keeps holding wonderful surprises for me as I trudge home from work!
I won a gorgeous pair of silver heart earrings from Lisa of Joolz by Lisa.

They're fun and pretty.  thank you Lisa!

March is creeping around the corner, so we're looking at 3 months to get ready for sleeveless shirts and SHORTS!  yikes.

I am seriously considering hiring a personal trainer at our rec center for a couple of hours to show me the proper way to exercise to really tone up my arms and legs.
I want to learn how to use free weights.  I use the machines but I don't seem to get much toning from them - maybe I'm not working those right either.

I'll talk to the trainer in a few days and decide on whether to go for it or not.

Gifts at my door

I had gifts waiting for me when I got home from work today!
Here are 3 wonderful gifts I won from the One World One Heart event.
They are all so wonderful!

The book "With Violets" by Elizabeth Robards arrived from Lelia of Stitches of Life II.  I had already selected this book as part of my A-Z Reading Challenge this year, so I can't wait to read it.!
Included in her notecard which was printed with pretty 'violets' was the cutest tatted butterfly.

thank you Lelia!!

Also in my mailbox I found a darling ornament made by Kristal at Grace Goods.
It was made with my initial and I selected a light blue for the background.  The blue is much prettier in person and lots of glitter around it.  My camera didn't do it justice.

thank you Kristal!

AND, I had one more gift in my mailbox - I was very lucky this year!
This last package was FILLED with goodies from Jessica of Before the Dawn
I couldn't believe all the fun things she sent me.

Some local Colorado items:  2 coffee bags, a pen and a keychain
PLUS some yummy White Pear Tea, tea lights and a sweet chocolate heart ~ I couldn't resist trying the tea and the chocolate!

I am so fortunate to have won so many wonderful things.
thank you everyone for drawing my name.

A Tea Party

Monica and Grace from EmenGee Designs are having a Tea Party and selected earrings from my etsy site Sorelle for their Tea Party outfit.  Stop by EmenGee Designs and you can see my pretty all white vintage daisy cabochon flower earrings paired up with a darling tea party dress.   Thank you Monica and Grace for the lovely invitation to your party.

Gary surprised me with early Valentines flowers and while I was setting them up to photograph them, he then surprised me with his remote control mini helicopter.  I heard a buzzing and felt and draft, looked up and saw this little helicopter sniffing at my flowers!  It gave me a start and my picture got a bit fuzzy but I captured the moment and wanted to share it.

Here are my beautiful flowers close up!  Flowers are sooooooo pretty.  I love them.

Sunday Valentine morning blog hopping :

Jenny Fowler **wonderful collection of heart pics! -- all you vintage lovers will adore her etsy site!

Her Art Nest - I love her blog background!

SharDon Exclusives - wonderfully talented beader.

A surprise in my email !

Yesterday I received an email from The Book Chick that I won Denise Austin's new book "Denise's Daily Dozen - the easy way to lose 12 lbs in 2 weeks".

When I placed my comment entry to try to win, I said I would follow the book and blog about the daily process every day for the 2 weeks to try to lose 12 lbs.  That means that if Denise has anything to do with it, I am going to be doing a LOT of exercising for 2 weeks !  lol.

The timing is great.  Winter weight is really creeping up this year and it gets harder and harder to lose it every year.  I could really use some help losing 12 lbs.  ok more than 12, but that's a good start.  I don't know how anyone can lose 12 lbs in 2 weeks but I'm willing to give it 100% effort and follow the book totally.

The publisher will be shipping "Denises's Daily Dozen" directly to me, I think I should have it in a week or so.  So if you want to follow along with me you have time to go out a get a copy for yourself !

Sunday morning bloghopping:

Alice In Paris loves Art and Tea

Foodgawker - great photo's!

Tales from a cottage - check out her photo's on the right side too. but especially go look at her tea cup cupboard at the very bottom of her blog.  absolutely LOVELY.

Blogland

I don't know what it is but this year I am having much more fun visiting the all the Bloggers on the One World One Heart Magic Carpet Ride than other years.  So far 980 bloggers have joined the event this year and it's such an interesting group of people.  Once this event is over, I plan on going back and with a cup of tea and some cookies, I'll just sit back and visit each one . I've already found some great kindred souls that love beading and knitting so I've put them on my follow list.
- it's a project that will take me the rest of the year !  I'll have to visit at least 25 blogs a week in order to do a proper visit with everyone.  Yikes.  ok, maybe I'll just have to stop for a quick handshake with some.

So far I've stopped by and entered the giveaway at 350 blogs out of the 980 and that was just for a quick Hello, I'll be back visit.
But I'm having a blast!   Hope you've joined in the fun.   If not, it's not too late, you just need a blog and click on the the Magic Carpet button in the right hand column here.
